- Natural Habit
Growing Habit and Cultivating Harmony - 2012epsom salt, table salt
Natural Habit consists of a series of sculpture-like pieces made by the collaboration of human design and natural patterns. Delicately composing naturally grown salt crystals on fabric into forms that mimic a crystal's habit illustrates the purity and simplicity of everything in Nature and how the answer to everything can be found in the harmony and balance between opposites.
- First we Form Habits, Then they Form Us (quote: Rob Gilbert)

- Nature is Unchanging but Expresses all Motion (quote: Lao Tzu)
foot long wires suspend brittle strips of salt crystals while the shadows provide stability- If No Action is Taken, Harmony Remains (quote: Lao Tzu)
salt encrusted fabric swatches hang on think wires- Creating Not Owning, That is Harmony (quote: Lao Tzu)
salt crystals grow on white fabric and hung individually on wooden skewers
