Description
In my project I represent an information field as elements of the nature. I take glossy magazines and I fill with them the plane which is similar to mass of terrestrial breed. The processed paper structure adjoins to water and creates enormous pressure inside by means of what paper is actuated. Addition of water is similar to ritual of revival of a lifeless material. This ritual passes in аремя creations of each work. Pressure increases and the mass of paper passes from the stiffened plane to a volume relief. This relief creates an image of a surface of the earth.

  • The Revolt of the Masses

  • In my project, I show a pile of information as the element of nature. At the heart of project lay glossy magazines, I fill plane using their, I build texture. This is similar to the structure of soil (earth). Paper structure is in contact with the water and creates a lot of pressure inside. This causes the paper to move. Adding water to this project, like the ritual of inspiration of dead material. The object moves from a stationary plane at the three-dimensional topography, which recreates the image of the earth's surface. I modeled the processes are similar to the processes of nature, which creates a natural relief on the ground.
Video is a good way to show movement, but in this project it is going by the wayside during documentation creation. In the foreground there is a desire to immerse the viewer in the work of art, give the viewer the opportunity to feel these works as models of the world, let him feel the pressure, which fetter the magazine sheets. In this project, I have go from understand the revolt of the masses, as a doctrine, to understanding of the uprising, as the phenomena of nature. In my reasoning, I relied on the ideas of famous Spanish sociologist Jose Ortega y Gasset in the beginning of xx century who criticized mass society and the crisis of spiritual atmosphere.
    The project is:
Glossy magazines cut into strips 2.5 cm in height. Mass from journals lined up on the plane. The bands at higher humidity begin to create pressure in the mass, which pose on the surface of the wave-like shape (the active growth of the "waves" for about an hour).
